Concerns have been raised with new councillor Jane Hutchison about drivers failing to observe the 20mph speed limits within the village. Jane has been in touch with the appropriate people at the Council and reports that a traffic survey has been requested as a first step.
Data from the survey should help to identify the scale of the problem so that the right measures can be put in place.
Stirling Council will also ask the traffic management officer to monitor the area and consider what other actions could be taken to ensure that drives adhere to the new limits.
Jane has also – on our behalf – raised the issue of the vehicle activated camera on Fore Road. The sign there is not displaying the correct information. The Council has pledged to rectify it as soon as ‘reasonably practicable’.
