Stirling Council’s Climate Conversation event has been postponed in light of the Coronavirus Pandemic.
The drop-in session, due to take place at the Albert Halls on Wednesday, 18 March, would have attracted partner agencies from across Stirling and Scotland, as well as an estimated 600 people over the course of the day.
Current UK and Scottish Government advice states organisers should cancel or postpone all mass events of 500 people or more – indoors or outdoors.
Convener for Environment and Housing, Cllr Jim Thomson said: “The safety of the public and our staff is the top priority here and we must adhere to the advice from the government and NHS.
“While we were looking forward to this important engagement session, we cannot put the health and safety of our community at risk.”
“We will organise a rescheduled date later in the year and I encourage everyone to continue to follow the advice of the NHS during this unprecedented situation.”
