Plans to build 85 new houses on land near Pirnhall in Stirling, including 21 affordable homes, have been given the green light.
Members of Stirling Council’s Planning and Regulation Panel approved an application by developers Bellway Homes for land between Croftside Farm and Hillhead Farm near Pirnhall interchange.
Along with delivering new affordable homes, which is a key priority for Stirling Council, the development will comprise a mixture of detached, semi-detached and terraced housing.
The affordable homes will include a mix of:
- 1 Bed cottage flats (4 homes)
- 2 bed cottage flats (4 homes)
- 2 Bed Houses (8 homes)
- 3 Bed Houses (5 homes)
Stirling Council, Chief Officer – Housing, Stephen Clark, said: “One of our key priorities is to build more affordable homes across the Stirling Council area and this new development will help us achieve that.
“Stirling Council, working in partnership with local housing associations, has an ambitious programme of new affordable homes under construction, and we will see homes for social rent being completed this year in Bannockburn, Callandar, Dunblane, Raploch, and St Ninians.”
