As reported earlier in the year, a regular inspection of the defibrillator revealed that the casing was in a very poor state of repair and there was a risk of water ingress which could damage the defibrillator. A request to Kippen residents to assist with funding for the purchase of a new and improved casing led to very rapid and generous donations towards this important purchase.
It can now be reported that the new and upgraded casing has been purchased and installed. Installation was very kindly carried out free of charge by West Group Technical Services from Killearn. The work was coordinated by Calum Linning and we are very grateful for both their generosity and excellent workmanship. A routine upgrade of the defibrillator’s software will also be carried out soon.
